Paolo Roversi’s interest in photography was kindled seventeen years old during a holiday in Spain. At twenty years old he worked as reporter in a photographic agency. In 1970 he opened his first studio in Ravenna, dedicated to still-life and portraits. In 1973 he moved to Paris and he began to approach fashion photography. He met Laurence Sackman, the well-know fashion photographer at that time. Sackman introduced Roversi to this kind of photography. Roversi was the first photographer to use the 20 x 25 polaroid. He has cooperated with Vogue Italy and England, Harper’s Bazaar, Men’s Vogue, Interview, W, Arena, I-D, Marie Claire magazines. He has signed many advertising campaigns for Armani, Cerruti, Comme des Garçons, Christian Dior, Alberta Ferretti, Romeo Gigli, Givency, Krizia, Valentino, Yves Saint Laurent, Yohij Yamamoto. He has realised some commercial for Dim, Evina, Gervais, Kenzo e Woolmark. He has exhibited in many solo and collective exhibitions in Italy and abroad.
